Baked camembert with green salad

The kids spent the day with friend, we decided to prepare a lunch for adults. A delicious one! If you like camembert cheese you will love this recipe.

2 portions, 3 pots

Time needed: 12 minutes prep (including salad), 30 minutes baking


  • 2 round camembert
  • 4 cloves of garlic
  • olive oil
  • salt pepper




  • 1 head of lettuce
  • 2 apples
  • 1 carrot
  • juice of 1 tangerine

slices of bread or toast


I used to bake camembert cheese in aluminium foil but since I do everything I can to reduce the waste generated in the kitchen this time I put my cheese in a simple IKEA bowl and it worked just as perfectly.

Preheat oven to 200 degrees C. Clean the garlic and cut each cloves into four lengthwise. With a knife make 8 holes into the cheeses and press the garlic into them. Place the camambert into the bowls add some oil, salt and pepper and bake it for 30-35 minutes. Wash the salad, the apple and the carrot, cut it into cubes, add some salt and oil and squeeze out the juice of the tangerine (I have found one accidentally in the fridge so I used it).

Once the cheese is ready, loose the sticky part with a knife and place it carefully onto a plate (it is very creamy inside easily flow out of the rind). Serve with salad and bread/toast to dip with.
